www.chinanews.cn 2005-07-29 16:11:06
The photo shows watermelons carved with paintings in Jiangxi's Leping
City taken on July 28, 2005. Xu Yousheng, a resident of the city, has
been engaged in watermelon selling for more than twenty years. As a
calligraphy and painting enthusiast, Xu originally carves his watermelons
with calligraphy, facial make-up and landscape paintings and sells them
out later. These watermelons with paintings are particularly popular
among customers, attracting them to buy one after another, selling like
hot cakes.
