Supporters of Taiwan's main opposition Kuomintang wave flags at an
election-eve rally in Panchiao, Taipei December 2, 2005. Taiwan voters go
to the polls on Saturday to elect 23 local county and 319 township
chiefs, in a local election seen as a critical mid-term test for current
leader Chen Shui-bian.
