Hebei's palace lanterns

A staff from Hebei's Gaocheng Municipal Tourism Bureau was displaying
exquisite and delicate palace lanterns at Shijiazhuang International Fair
for Investment and Trade on Nov. 4. Gaocheng's palace lantern production
started in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD), dating back to 500 to 600
years ago. Gaocheng's palace lanterns featured rich local
characteristics, and its arhat lanterns, revolving scene lanterns and the
lanterns with two dragons playing with a pearl are most frequently seen
while the red gauze lanterns are the most famous.
