Shanghai Taiwanese Children School began construction

The foundation laying ceremony of Shanghai Taiwanese Children School was
held in Shanghai's Huacao Town on Sept. 29. Covering an area of 40 Mu
(6.6 acres), the school can hold 2,000 to 3,000 children of Taiwanese
compatriots and is expected to be put into use next June.
Shanghai's Taiwan Affairs Office officially announced that the name of
Shanghai Taiwanese Compatriots' Children School has been changed into
Shanghai Taiwanese Children School on Sept. 29. Pictured, Xie Lijun (R),
secretary general of the Shanghai's Taiwan Affairs Office, donated
300,000 yuan to the school on behalf of Shanghai's Taiwanese businessmen.
